Opus Clip faces a critical deficit in its user experience—the absence of an AI coaching dashboard. Without this AI-driven guidance, users are left without a strategic and efficient tool to optimize their video's impact. Video Production Pain Points
The interview surveys reveal that the majority of creators find content creation and editing, material finding and usage, translation and subtitles, market demand and audience, technical issues, and platform limitations and sensitivity to be the primary challenges
After a thorough study of the user's video production process and user pain points, combined with Opus Clip'needs, we determined our design will focus on three aspects: Predict Market Trends, Provide Insights in Contents, and Video Data Analysis.
Information Architecture - identify features presented on the final design
The sitemap is based on the video creator's pain points and we identify the four key task flows that the final design will focus on:
1. Getting information on trending topics
2. Knowing their competitors
3. Performance Overview
4. Navigating to quick access

Understanding users' eye flow and what they find intuitive
According to the user's eye flow, the layout of our initial design places a heavy emphasis on competitors, which may give the impression that they are the most critical aspect, potentially overshadowing the importance of data performance and trending topics. Different users have different preferences for information consumption. Some might prefer a more balanced view of data, trends, and competitors, and the first design could be less appealing to them. Acknowledging that trends and competitor analysis could be equally important in certain situations, we update our design.

Given the nature of B2C products, understanding the end-users—content creators, marketers, and agencies—was essential. The goal was to develop a product that is not only functional but also engaging and easy to use. By quickly scoping the problem and leveraging deep knowledge of the B2C market, our team was able to design a solution that directly addressed user needs and market demands, ultimately enhancing the product's value and user satisfaction.
